Is Lakeview Eye Care a local eye doctor near Syracuse, Utah?
Yes. Lakeview Eye Care is a local eye doctor and optometrist office in Syracuse, Utah, serving patients from Syracuse, West Point, Clearfield, Clinton, Layton, and nearby Davis County communities.
Can I see an optometrist here for routine eye care?
Yes. Lakeview Eye Care provides optometry care for comprehensive eye exams, glasses prescriptions, contact lens fittings, pediatric eye care, dry eye symptoms, diabetic eye exams, glaucoma monitoring, and many medical eye concerns.
What is the difference between an optometrist and an ophthalmologist?
An optometrist is often the first stop for routine eye exams, glasses and contact lens prescriptions, and many common medical eye concerns. An ophthalmologist is a medical doctor who can provide more complex medical care and eye surgery. Lakeview Eye Care refers patients to ophthalmology or subspecialists when surgery or higher-level specialty care is needed.
When should I see an ophthalmologist or ophthalmology clinic instead of an optometrist?
You may need an ophthalmologist for cataract surgery, retinal problems, corneal disease, uncontrolled glaucoma, serious eye injuries, complex infections, or care your optometrist determines needs a surgical or subspecialty referral. If you are unsure, Lakeview Eye Care can examine you and help direct you to the right level of care.
Which vision or medical insurance plans do you accept?
Lakeview Eye Care is in-network with many major plans, including VSP, Davis Vision, Medicare, Aetna, Tricare, EyeMed, Medicaid Utah, PEHP, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, Regence, and more. Call us and we can help verify benefits before your eye exam.
How much does an eye exam cost without insurance?
Self-pay patients are welcome. Eye exam cost depends on the visit type, testing needed, and whether the appointment is routine vision care or medical eye care. Lakeview Eye Care does not list one-size-fits-all pricing online because insurance benefits and billing details vary, but the team can explain what may affect your estimate before scheduling.
What is included in a comprehensive eye exam?
A comprehensive eye exam includes a vision and prescription check, eye-health evaluation, screening for concerns such as glaucoma, cataracts, dry eye, and diabetic eye disease, plus time with the doctor to review results.
How do I book an eye doctor appointment?
You can book an eye exam appointment online, or call Lakeview Eye Care during office hours. The team can help you choose the right appointment type for routine vision care, contacts, pediatric care, or medical eye symptoms.
Do you offer same-day or walk-in eye exams?
Same-day medical eye visits may be available, especially for red eyes, eye pain, foreign body concerns, flashes, floaters, or sudden vision changes. Please call before coming in because Lakeview Eye Care is not a walk-in clinic and appointment availability changes quickly.
Is Lakeview Eye Care open on Saturday?
The office is currently closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Regular office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Do you offer contact lens fittings?
Yes. Lakeview Eye Care provides contact lens exams and fittings for soft, toric, multifocal, scleral, and ortho-k lenses. Contact lens evaluations are quoted separately from routine exams.
Can you treat pink eye or other urgent eye problems?
Yes. The doctors diagnose and treat eye infections, allergies, styes, minor injuries, foreign objects, flashes, floaters, and sudden vision changes. Same-day medical visits may be available.
At what age should my child have an eye exam?
The practice recommends an infant eye exam, another around age 3, and yearly exams once school starts. Earlier visits are wise if you notice squinting, headaches, eye turns, reading struggles, or failed screenings. Lakeview Eye Care provides pediatric optometry and family eye care in Syracuse.
How do I choose a good local eye doctor or optometrist?
Look for an office that listens carefully, explains findings clearly, offers the care you need, helps with insurance questions, and has public reviews from real patients. Lakeview Eye Care links to Google reviews so families can compare experiences before scheduling.
Do you speak Spanish?
Yes. The team offers service in Spanish. Hable con nosotros al programar su cita y con gusto le atenderemos.
